IDJWI ISLAND Congo Grand Lac, South Kivu DRC BE-BIO-01 Coffee

This exceptional coffee is grown on Africa’s second-largest island, located on Lake Kivu in the DRC. Coffee growing has a positive impact on the prosperity of the farmers, and of women in particular. The coffee grows in the shade and helps prevent deforestation; only organic fertilisers are used, and no pesticides. Each micro washing station is equipped with solar panels and the drying station runs on hydroelectric power.
